This Privacy Policy explains how Voleo (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Voleo iPhone app and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to personalise your coaching:
- Onboarding details — a name to call you, your age range, and region.
- Playing profile — how long you’ve played, sessions per week, your self-rated level (1–7), your preferred court side, and your selected biggest frustration.
- Account & subscription — login details if you create an account, and your Premium subscription status (managed through Apple).
- Usage & diagnostics — basic, often aggregated, app-usage and crash/diagnostic data to keep the app reliable.
We do not collect video of you, require wearables or smart rackets, or track your location on court.
2. How we use your information
- to build and update your personalised weekly plan and assign your AI coach;
- to calibrate drill difficulty to your level and start with your biggest frustration;
- to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service;
- to provide support and communicate important changes.
3. AI processing
Your onboarding answers are processed by AI models to generate your coaching plan and guidance. This processing may involve trusted third-party model providers acting on our behalf under appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies (for example, players in Spain, Italy, Sweden, or Portugal), we process your data on the bases of: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service), your consent (where requested), and our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service). You may withdraw consent at any time.
5. Sharing & third parties
We share data only as needed to run the Service:
- Apple — for app distribution and subscription payments through the App Store.
- Service providers — hosting, analytics, and AI subprocessors who process data on our instructions.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period, unless a longer retention is required by law.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, port, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise the right to erasure directly in the app via Profile → Delete account, or by contacting us. We will respond as required by applicable law.
9. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children below the applicable minimum age (generally 13, up to 16 in parts of the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from such children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.
11. Apple & device permissions
Subscriptions and payments are handled by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy. You can manage app permissions and subscriptions at any time in iOS Settings.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
